Applications Now Open for 2027 Nuffield Canada Scholarship Program

Empowering scholars to explore, research and bring the world of agriculture to Canada

Nuffield Canada is now accepting applications for the 2027 Contemporary Scholarship Program.

This life-changing experience is open to people in agricultural production, food and business between the ages of 25 and 50.

Scholars will have the opportunity to experience agriculture, farming and food production first-hand through international travel and study through hands-on learning and leadership.

“The Nuffield contemporary scholar’s journey takes you to the edge of your imagination and then catapults you beyond it,” says Chair Steve Larocque. “The journey challenges scholars like they never have been before and gives them perspective and insight on global challenges and opportunities they’d never find at home. In doing so, they bring the world of agriculture back to Canada.”

At the end of the two-year journey, which includes a minimum of 10-weeks of travel, the successful applicants will have an international network, lifelong friends, deep knowledge of their chosen topic, an understanding of global food production and renewed desire to inspire positive change in their business, community and Canadian agriculture.

The deadline for applications is June 30, 2026.
